1. As per section 4(1)b(i) of the RTI Act, 2005
Functions of Social Welfare & Tribal Affairs Department
The endeavour of the Department is to work for the welfare and development of Tribals in the State and to strive for the upliftment of women and children, handicapped and old aged persons. It also manages correctional institutions and social defense, as well as strengthening voluntary organizations and aiming to uplift Rural Infrastructure.
