NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY, 2019

        National Girl Child Day “Empowering Girls for a Better Tomorrow” walk/rally was organized on 24^th January 2019 while Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Week is being observed in selected Districts in the State.

        Aizawl Thunders (Bikers club), Higher Secondary School Students, Frontline workers, Officials and staff of the department were participated. More than 500 people were participated in this rally.

        Mrs.Laldikkimi, the Director of Social Welfare Department flagged off the rally.

        Mr. Lalnghinglova Hmar, a notable citizen had given a speech on Save the girl child.

        Placards, banners, flags, T-shirts and Video clip on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao – National Girl Child Day 2019 “Empowering Girls for a Better Tomorrow” were developed for this occasion.
